Polito's is the place to be
By: Brittney Hodgson
When asked what their favorite food is, students are quick to respond with the word "pizza." But when asked what their favorite local pizza parlor is, it took students a moment longer to answer.
But with flavors like steak and fries, chicken bacon ranch and macaroni and cheese, it's no surprise that Polito's ended up on top.
Polito's Pizza, located at 960 Main Street in Stevens Point, maybe new, but not unknown. If you were to walk up the stairs and through the doors on a Friday night, all you would see is a sea of red and black.
Polito's is the place to be after a SPASH football game. Players and student fans get together to celebrate the victory, talk about the game and enjoy Polito's specialties.
Senior Emily Heluska had her reasons as to why Polito's is so popular:
"It's cheap and they offer different kinds of pizza that are delicious."
Sophomore Brooke Piotrowski agreed:
"The mac & cheese pizza, and all the different varieties of pizza are what make Polito's good."
Junior Rylee Engum put her reasoning into three simple words, "Flavors of fun."
Another way you can grab a great deal at Polito's is by using your SPASH card. On the SPASH card, there are two stickers that entitle a person to get a free slice of pizza and a free drink.
If you have already used up those two opportunities, don't worry. Also included on the card is an offer for unlimited free drinks when you purchase a slice of pizza.
If you don't have a SPASH card and would like to purchase one to take advantage of these deals and many more, you can still purchase on in the Panther Inn.
If you need a good place to get some food, or you want to be part of the Friday night action, come check out Polito's Pizza.
